Colette Renton involved in inquest where pregnant woman died from complications of pre-eclampsia at 36 weeks gestation.
Colette Renton was involved in an inquest where an expecting mother tragically died following the still birth of her first child. The mother had experienced pre-eclampsia followed by a placental abruption and a period of sustained hypertension lead to a catastrophic intercranial haemorrhage. The Coroner concluded that the actions of hospital staff did not cause or contribute to the death, whilst identifying areas for improvement.
