Mission Statement
Deans Court Chambers prides itself on its wholehearted commitment to promoting and supporting diversity and inclusion. We believe in providing opportunities to those of the highest ability, regardless of individual characteristics. We recognise the benefits of a membership which reflects the diversity of the society we serve and we strive to seek out talent, regardless of socio-economic barriers. We recognise the benefits of a wide range of diverse backgrounds, cultures, perspectives and experiences throughout our barristers and staff membership. It is our mission to provide a working environment and a service to clients that is characterised by mutual respect, support and equality. We promote outreach initiatives including working with schools and universities and support organisations that aim to widen access to the Bar. We continuously review and optimise how we operate at every level, in order to promote these objectives.
“As head of Deans Court Chambers, I see our commitment to diversity and inclusion on a daily basis, from the work done by committees to the actions of our staff. I am justifiably proud of the high standards we set” – Michael Hayton KC – Head of Chambers
