Judgement has been handed down in Re R (A minor) (Fact Finding) [2025] EWHC 1977 (Fam) in which Michael Jones KC and Peter Rothery appeared for the local authority, and Heather Hobson (led by Nick Goodwin KC), instructed by Hannah Walsh of Roland Robinson and Fentons solicitors, appeared for the child.

The case is an unusual example of a complex medical presentation with a dual pathology, where findings were made of both salt poisoning and inflicted head injury perpetrated by the mother.
