Miss Janet Ironfield was recently involved in Operation Lytton, a case involving offences alleging multiple rape of a child.
She defended an individual prosecuted in the first tranche of defendants to be tried in a series of trials resulting from the police investigation during a three month trial in Manchester which concluded on 17th August.
This Operation spanned many years and comprised an investigation into historic child sexual exploitation and grooming in the Rochdale area.
