Deans Court Chambers host Vulnerable Witness Advocacy Training on behalf of FLBA
On Saturday 11th June, Deans Court hosted over 65 delegates from around the country, as they took part in Vulnerable Witness Advocacy training for the Family Law Bar Association. The course was incredibly well received by the delegates with many commenting on the necessity for additional training in this sensitive area.
Julia Cheetham QC, a tutor and course leader commented; "What we did on Saturday is very important for the family bar, we still have over 1000 people to train and at the moment there are only 15 of us in the country. Hopefully after Saturday we will have recruited some more tutors and we can drive the program on. We already have 60 people to train in Leeds and over 100 in London in December."
Deans Court also received welcome praise as a host of the event, due to the "welcoming nature" and "amazing organisation" not to mention the "incredible spread" that was provided. It seems a hard days work requires a hearty feast afterwards!
We look forward to hosting other events in the near future.
