Michael Hayton represents Matt Petgrave, the professional ice hockey player involved in the death of another player during a match in Sheffield in 2023, who will not be charged with his death
No criminal charges will be brought against a professional ice hockey player involved in the death of another player, Adam Johnson, during a match in Sheffield in 2023.
Michael Quinn, the deputy chief crown prosecutor, said the decision not to charge Matt Petgrave, who had been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter, had been made after a review of all the evidence.
Michael Hayton KC of Deans Court Chambers was instructed to represent Mr Petgrave by Daniel Weed of Burton Copeland Ltd, who we thank for their instruction and expertise on this nationally covered matter.
