Jacob Dyer prosecutes attempted murder for the CPS
R v Jacob Gill - prosecuted for attempted murder.
Defendant was convicted after a 5 day trial in October.
Defendant attacked the victim after attending victim’s home armed with bow and arrow and sharpened kitchen knife. T
he defendant accepted an intention to cause grievous bodily harm but denied the intention to kill. When interviewed by police he claimed to have an alter ego ‘Damon’ who was responsible for his actions.
The jury convicted of the attempted murder and he was sentenced on Friday to a 34 year extended sentence (29 years plus 5 year licence extension).
