James Paterson obtains exemplary damages for a Claimant insurer in tort of deceit proceedings.
James Paterson, instructed by James Martin and the team at Crawford Legal Services UK, secured an award of £9,000 exemplary damages the Court determining that the Defendant had fraudulently misrepresented that his vehicle, insured by the Claimant, had been stolen. The Defendant has been ordered to pay back the £19,000 paid under the policy in addition to the award of exemplary damages.
