The aim of the team at Deans Court is to provide expertise across the board in respect of all matters arising from either the jurisdiction of the Court of Protection, Mental Health Law, or within the field of Community Care Law and Administrative Law.
Deans Court Chambers is able to boast a high profile team of pre-eminent advocates from all backgrounds who are skilled at dealing with cases across the board, ranging from capacity issues arising out of catastrophic brain injury and the implications for Personal Injury litigation, to children lacking capacity, Judicial Review arising out of community care and continuing healthcare legislation and all aspects of Mental Health Law
Many of the leading cases within this field have also involved members of the Deans Court team, such as C v Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council & Ors [2011] EWHC 3321 (COP)  and R (on the application of C) v A Local Authority [2011] EWHC 1539 (Admin) otherwise known as ‘The Blue Room Case’ (Sophie Cartwright).
The team has experience in hosting a multi-disciplinary conference to consider developments within the field as well as in house seminars and specifically tailored training events for organizations on a larger scale. Enquiries in respect of training should be directed to Andy Flannigan.
