Andrew Gurney recently secured acquittals on charges of rape and sexual assault in a case involving historic allegations dating back four years, when both parties were 16. 
The matter had been significantly delayed due to the impact of Covid on the court system. 
During that period, the defendant experienced the loss of his mother and had since progressed to his second year at University.
