Tim Horlock QC, Joseph Hart and Peter Smith instructed on Inquest into the death of Austin Thomas
Inquest touching on the death of Austin Thomas: This inquest was held before the North Wales Coroner, Joanne Lees over the course of four days. The case involved the tragic death of a young veteran of the conflict in Afghanistan who went to work at a paper recycling mill alongside one of his good friends and under the supervision of his father who was the supervisor of the warehouse. The old friend was driving a shovel loader truck which struck Mr Thomas killing him. There was an HSE investigation and the two companies involved in the running of the premises were investigated. Ultimately the jury found that Mr Thomas had met his death as a result of an accident.
