Susan Deas was instructed to provide expert advice to the family court in New Zealand regarding the status of a “Segal” order made in the UK in 2016, its interplay with the Child Support system and the order’s enforceability. Susan commented: “ I received the instructions because of my involvement in child support issues over many decades. As an aside, I was particularly impressed with the court’s use of technology and the ease with which parties are apparently able to participate in proceedings from a distance.”
