New Terms of Engagement Coming Into Force on 31st January 2013
The Legal Services Board has approved the Bar Standards Board’s application to amend its Code of Conduct to substitute standard contractual terms for the existing terms under the withdrawal of credit scheme. This is to come into force on 31st January 2013 and from that date the withdrawal of credit scheme will be abolished for new work. Deans Court Chambers' barristers will be operating under the new standard contractual terms as from the date of change. This will be our barristers’ default position and may be varied by specific agreement. You may read more about these changes on the Bar Council’s website www.barcouncil.org.uk/media-centre/news-and-press-releases/2012/october/implementation-of-new-terms-of-engagement-for-barristers/
