Michael Hayton QC defends Mark Buckley who has pleaded guilty to the sexually motivated murder of 18 year old school girl Ellen Higginbottom. Ms Higginbottom was found dead from multiple stab wounds to her neck in a local beauty spot at the Orrell Water Park near Wigan.
Mr Buckley was sentenced to life imprisonment with the 51 years old defendant ordered to serve a minimum of 31 years before he is eligible for parole.
