Financial remedy matter.
Karen Brody acted for a Husband who had married a much younger woman in the Philippines. She came to live in the UK two years after the wedding.
She had sent marital funds to her family abroad and the Husband had paid for a house to be built there for them.
The marriage was short but they had a child.
The Husband contributed all the assets of the marriage. He was nearing retirement and wished to preserve his pension and retain the marital home which had been his childhood home.
