Jonathan Butler Appointed to the Circuit Bench
It gives us great pleasure to announce that the Queen has appointed Jonathan Butler to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Chris Grayling MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd.
Mr Butler joined Chambers in November 2010 and was the Head of our 'Court of Protection and Community Care Law' Team.
He has been a valued member of Deans Court Chambers and although we are sad to see him leave, we wish him all the best on his appoinment to the Judiciary.
HHJ Butler will continue to work on the Northern Circuit, and will be based at Chester County Court with effect from August 2014.
