Bracewell Essay Prize
Deans Court Chambers would like to congratulate Mr Simon Rowbotham, on becoming the joint winner of the esteemed ‘Bracewell Essay Prize’ 2012
The Bracewell Essay Prize, is held in honour of the memory of Dame Joyanne Bracewell DBE, and was open to all members of the FLBA who are less than six years call.
The subject for this year’s prize was “To be ….or not to be at risk? Are the courts protecting children appropriately from the likelihood of future significant harm?”
The judges of the competition this year were the Rt Hon Lady Justice Black DBE and Ms Jo Miles, Director of Studies and Fellow in Law, Trinity College, Cambridge, and Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Law, University of Cambridge, and an Academic Fellow of Inner Temple.
The Prize was awarded on 24th February at the annual FLBA dinner, held at the Middle Temple Hall
