Virginia Hayton involved in high profile historic sex case of Ray Teret
Miss Hayton was involved in the historic sex case of Ray Teret, a radio DJ in the 60’s and 70’s and a friend of Jimmy Savile. The allegations dated back to 1961 (the last allegation was 1996) and counts on the Indictment included an occasion where Mr Teret is said to have raped the Complainant with Jimmy Savile. He was convicted of offences against 11 of the 17 women, 7 of them rape and 4 indecent assault, and received a determinate sentence of 25 years.
