Richard Whitehall contributes to the PIBA Guide to Pension Loss Calculation
Richard Whitehall has contributed a section to the Personal Injuries Bar Association Guide to Pension Loss Calculation, which is published this week. The guide, which has been written by James Rowley QC and Matthew White, aims to simplify the sometimes daunting task of calculating pension loss. It provides a clear summary of the law in this area and applies it to the types of pension scheme most commonly encountered in the present day, with worked examples.
The guide also provides summaries of common pension schemes, with links to the relevant guides and scheme documents online, so that practitioners have a useful resource available when quantifying claims for pension loss. Richard has researched and written the section on the Universities Superannuation Scheme, a somewhat exceptional scheme which has been the subject of strike action in recent years.
The guide can be purchased here.
