Karen Brody instructed in Financial Remedy Case concerning the weight to be given to a Pre Nuptial Agreement
Karen Brody was instructed to represent a Wife in a financial remedy case concerning the weight to be given to a Pre Nuptial Agreement.
The Husband was significantly older than the Wife and wealthy, having over £5M of assets.
The Wife was off work due to mental ill health.
The parties were married for 8 years. They had no children.
The Wife was arguing that the PNA was flawed in that she had been unable to negotiate properly due to the dynamic between the parties and her psychological/mental health issues.
Her secondary argument was that the PNA did not provide sufficient to meet her needs.
A private FDR was held and agreement reached. The Wife received 100% more than the PNA provided for.
