Lewis Power QC Represents Father in “Assassins Creed Murder” Case
Lewis Power QC represented a father who admitted the Manslaughter of his five week old daughter Hove Crown Court. The defendant had been charged with the Murder of his baby daughter who, the Crown alleged, he killed in a fit of temper as a result of his frustration caused by playing the violent computer game Assassins Creed 3.
This highly complex case involved reports from over thirty medical experts in respect of both the deceased child and the defendant who suffered from an extremely rare combination of neurological and psychological conditions.
Following consideration of the extensive medical and forensic evidence in this case, lengthy negotiations resulted in a plea of Manslaughter being accepted by the Crown and the Murder charge against the defendant not being pursued.
