Iain Simkin defends East Hull Tyre firm as dad sent 'flying into air' in explosion
Iain Simkin defends East Hull Tyre firm forced to pay £40,000 as dad sent 'flying into air' in explosion.
A multi-piece wheel from a crane exploded following an incorrect inflation. Despite the life changing injuries suffered by the victim the prosecution accepted that this was a case of low culpability following submissions from defence counsel.
Consequently a potential fine of £250,000 was reduced to £17,000 at a late plea.
