Taran accepted tenancy in September 2025, following a successful pupillage under the supervision of Helen Wilkinson. 

Prior to commencing pupillage, Taran worked as a paralegal at a leading solicitors’ firm in London, where she assisted on High Net Worth financial remedy matters and complex private children’s cases. Taran also gained valuable experience providing legal support and advice through the BPP Legal Advice Clinic and the Citizens Advice Bureau. 

Private Law Children

Taran has experience in private children law, representing applicants and respondents in a wide range of cases. 

Taran is regularly instructed to deal with applications concerning child arrangements, prohibited steps orders, specific issue orders, special guardianship orders and non-molestation orders. Her practice includes complex matters such as internal relocations, enforcement applications, change of residence, as well as cases involving serious allegations of sexual abuse, and domestic abuse. 

Public Law Children

Taran represents Local Authorities, parents and Guardians in complex public law matters involving non-accidental injuries, chronic neglect, drug and alcohol misuse, mental health concerns and domestic abuse. 

Taran also has experience in representing Local Authorities and Guardians in placement and adoption proceedings. 

Financial Remedies

Taran accepts instructions in matrimonial finance matters for privately and publicly funded clients as part of a developing financial remedies practice. Taran has experience in representing parties at all stages of proceedings, with matters concerning disclosure, dissipation and costs.
