- Jack Harrison
Jack specialises in cases about children. He regularly handles difficult private law cases about surrogacy, abduction, alienation and relocation, and complex or serious care proceedings involving death, serious abuse/injuries and international aspects.
His practice spans all levels of the family court, and he has appeared in the Court of Appeal. He is happy to advise in writing or in conference at any stage of proceedings, including pre-issue.
Jack was again ranked in Legal 500 2024, noting that he is “Robust in court, clear and concise. A delight to work with.”
Jack regularly undertakes work for Advocate, the bar’s pro-bono charity.
Outside of his practice, Jack regularly gives seminars, training and talks about his areas of expertise. He has a keen interest in issues of transparency in family justice, and is the secretary of the Transparency Implementation Group, having been appointed by the President of the Family Division in 2021.
In 2022, Jack was appointed as a deputy district judge, sitting on family cases on the midlands and south east circuits.
