Conor began pupillage at Deans Court in October 2025 under the supervision of Hannah Whelan.
Prior to commencing pupillage, Conor worked as a family paralegal at a leading law firm based in Manchester. Working closely with partners and solicitors, Conor assisted clients in matrimonial finance, TOLATA and private child arrangements during all stages of litigation. Conor supported vulnerable individuals whilst volunteering for a homeless charity across Manchester and helped to advise clients as part of BPP’s Family Legal Advice Clinic.
Throughout his first six pupillage, Conor has observed and assisted across all stages of care proceedings, involving the representation of vulnerable clients and professional clients such as Local Authorities and Children’s Guardians. Conor has had the opportunity to engage with complex issues of non-accidental injuries, domestic abuse, drug and alcohol misuse and chronic neglect.
Building on his prior experience, Conor has engaged with a variety of issues across financial remedy proceedings whilst shadowing members of chambers at financial dispute resolution appointments, final hearings and conferences. Conor has also gained a broad range of experience in private children law matters observing multi-day fact-finding hearings involving allegations of domestic abuse and sexual abuse and attended case management hearings.
Conor will be available for instruction from 13th April 2026.
