Matthew completed a Civil pupillage  under the supervision of William Tyler, following his successful application in 2022.

Matthew specialises in Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence.

Matthew acts for both Claimants and Defendants at fast, intermediate and multi-track level. 

Matthew specialises in personal injury, including cases involving fraud and allegations of fundamental dishonesty. He has experience of instructions in the field of clinical negligence and sport. Matthew has experience of matters involving complex personal injury and has recently had success representing the Police in matters concerning Human Rights.

Beyond the County Court, Matthew has experience of coroner’s advocacy, and has experience acting for all sides at coroner’s inquests. Matthew also has prior experience of the Employment Tribunal and has represented parties in complex employment tribunal disputes involving discrimination. 

In addition to advocacy, Matthew regularly undertakes a range of drafting, including advices, defences and particulars of claim and prides himself on ensuring such work is always returned within good time and to the highest standard.
