Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service

Chambers caseload encompasses the full range of FtP cases including Misconduct (clinical and non-clinical), Deficient Professional Performance and Conviction cases.

Members of the team are also instructed by the GMC to conduct Registration Appeal Panel hearings and section 40 High Court appeals from the FtP Tribunal.

The knowledge and experience accumulated over the last two decades has been shared and developed within the team which has created a strength in depth which is at the heart of our success in this area.

Defence;

Chambers' team are regularly instructed by solicitors from all around the country to appear in the MPTS in cases up to and including those both of the greatest complexity and those of the highest public profile. Members of the team also accept Direct Access instructions.

Members of the team have particular expertise in cases involving complicated clinical issues whilst other with a background in the criminal courts are expert in cases based upon non clinical misconduct and/or conviction.

Chambers' Defence team are able to offer advisory assistance and advocacy representation for the full range of cases that come before the MPTS.
