Archna was a tenant in a thriving set of chambers in Bristol for over 10 years. After relocating to the area she joined the Family Team at Deans Court Chambers in 2011.
After spending 15 years working in all aspects of family law Archna now to specialises in matrimonial finance, cohabitation disputes and private law children cases.
Archna undertakes work in high value and complex cases financial remedy cases. She is regularly instructed at an early stage in order to assist with the smooth running of a case in particular on issues involving third party disputes over the ownership of property, trusts and disclosure. She is happy to give advice prior to the issue of proceedings to advise on the best approach in cases to try and reduce costs.
She undertakes complex cohabitation cases and is regularly instructed for interveners in financial remedy cases when issues on ownership of properties arise.
In private law matters Archna represents parents in complex residence/contact disputes in cases where allegations of physical and sexual abuse are made, ‘implacably hostile’ mothers and issues of children being ‘coached’ to make up allegations against another parent. Her cases also involve external and internal relocation.
Archna will regularly act for the clients in children act and financial remedy cases to ensure continuity for the client.
Archna has a particular interest and experience in cases with clients from different ethnic backgrounds. She can conduct conferences in Hindi.
Archna is actively involved in providing seminars in chambers and at solicitors offices.
