Profile

Crime

Mr David Fish QC's criminal practice covers all aspects of criminal law; he specialises in high profile cases for the defence. He has appeared in more than 100 homicide cases, as well as numerous large fraud and drug conspiracy cases. Mr Fish QC has also appeared in numerous cases involving death by dangerous driving and cases involving all aspects of road traffic law.

Licensing, betting, gaming, and sports law

Mr Fish QC’s practice covers all aspects of licensing, betting and gaming work. He accepts Instructions from the Isle of Man and Gibraltar. He has been the Non-Executive Chairman of 32Red Plc since 2005; this is an online gaming company based in Gibraltar, and is listed on the AIM market on the London Stock Exchange. This position involves, inter alia, advising the board on all aspects of betting and gaming law as and when necessary. Also, Mr Fish has had a lifelong involvement in horse racing, including ownership of many racehorses over the last 25 years. His current trainers are Michael Bell (Newmarket) and George Scott (Newmarket).

Professional discipline

Mr Fish QC has appeared before various professional disciplinary bodies representing police officers, professional jockeys, bookmakers and employees. Representation includes Alan Berry (racehorse trainer), Darren Williams (jockey), Terry Myers (bookmaker), Newton (bookmaker), Stephen Duffy (solicitor) and numerous police officers before their various disciplinary bodies.

Health and safety/regulatory

Mr Fish QC undertakes all aspects of the above fields and was formerly Standing Counsel to the London Borough of Bexley on Health and Safety/Regulatory matters. Also, Mr Fish has been involved in numerous appearances on cases brought under the Trade Descriptions Act.

Employment law

Unfair dismissal and disciplinary work. Many appearances in the Industrial Tribunal and assistance given to sports professionals with employment law problems. Also advisory work for 32Red plc in this field.
